The Hanifl Centre has been chosen for this year's Green Award, given by the CII's Uttarakhand office. (Confederation of Indian Industries).
For the past 5 years, the CII (Uttarakhand) has been presenting the Green Award to a person or group that has done most in Uttarakhand for the environment. The past awardees have been as follows:
2006 – Shri Vishweshwar Dutt Saklani – Award presented by Sh N D Tiwari, the then Chief Minister of Uttarakhand
2007 – 127 Infantry Battalion (TA) Ecological – Eco Task Force – Award presented by HE Shri Sudarshan Agarwal, the then Governor of Uttarakhand
2008 – Shri Jagat Singh Chaudhary (Junglee) – Award presented by Ms Vibha Puri Das, the then Principal Secretary & FRDC, Government of Uttarakhand
2009 – Shri Kalyan Singh Rawat – Award presented by Mr Salil Singhal, the then Chairman, CII Northern Region
2010 – Dr Harshwanti Bisht – Award presented by HE Smt Margaret Alva, Governor of Uttarakhand

CII Green Award
This is the sixth award we are presenting and it is the first time a school has won it. Congratulations.
The function is scheduled for Sunday, the sixth of March in the afternoon and the Governor of Uttarakhand is expected to present it. The venue will be Haridwar where our Industrial Expo is going to be held.
